Water – Use It Wisely is a water conservation campaign originally launched on behalf of metropolitan Phoenix, Mesa, Scottsdale and the Arizona Department of Water Resources. The campaign provides states, cities and citizens with simple tips and tricks to help them save water in their home and throughout the community. Water - Use It Wisely launched in Arizona in 2000. It has since expanded into a multimillion-dollar campaign with more than 250 public and private water companies Nationwide. Interested parties are provided with customizable marketing materials that they can tailor to their city or town and use at their disposal. A study taken the Behavior Research Center pointed to the effectiveness of the effort by the amount of recognition within the community.
